NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Sacramento Valley Chapter, held their Person of the Year Award and Dinner in downtown Sacramento, on May 11, 2016. The night honored Kevin Ramos, Buzz Oates’ Chief Investment Officer, with a VIP reception, staging and dinner outside on the mall.

City Year Sacramento’s annual Ripples of Hope event was held May 19 at the California Museum in downtown Sacramento. More than $300,000 was raised to help City Year students through sponsorships and an auction held that evening.

The Broadway Gala on May 7, benefitted California Musical Theatre’s  performing arts education and Music Circus productions. Over 450 business and community leaders attended the gala at the historic Sacramento Memorial Auditorium. 

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2016 Students of the Year Finale took place at Niello Mini with more than 200 people attending. The total campaign included 10 student pairs, representing eight local high schools and more than $260,000 was raised for LLS.

The Sacramento Economic Forum was held at the Sacramento Convention Center on May 13, 2016 and featured a keynote address by Sacramento native and President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Dr. John C. Williams. The event also featured a panel discussion focused on the economic challenges, opportunities and trends impacting and influencing the Sacramento region. 

To celebrate with our clients and friends who in no small way have been part of our success, Comstock’s held a VIP Customer Appreciation on night on May 18, 2016.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento’s 3rd Annual Hard Hats and High Heels Gala was held on April 21 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center. The night included food, drink and a live auction to support building homes for families in need int he Sacramento and Yolo communities.

The Construction Financial Management Association held its 5th annual dinner and awards at Arden Hills Club and Spa on April 21.

The 29th Annual Wine and Food Fest, benefiting Make-A-Wish, hosted more than 1,200 guests at the Sacramento Convention Center on April 23. More than 100 restaurants, wineries breweries and other fine spirit establishments provided tastings.

On April 23, 950 men participated in WEAVE’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event raising awareness and more than $315,000 to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and sex trafficking.
