Thomas Cathey is a freelance journalist and student at American River College in Sacramento. He’s had three semesters of experience writing for The Current at ARC and is now its managing editor.

Andrew Calisterio is a freelance photographer and content creator. He developed his passion for photography while working in the liquor and spirits industry for over a decade, and is influenced by street photography, bar culture and portrait work. He is a Sacramento native and a longtime San Francisco resident, and shares his wide array of interests via his Instagram accounts, @Boozehoundcc and @LoFivePhoto.

Kelsey Brown is a freelance writer and a student at CSU Long Beach. Brown was the news editor and a journalist for Sacramento City College’s online newspaper, The Express.

Rahul Lal is a freelance photographer and student at Sacramento State. He’s been a part of The State Hornet, the student-run media organization, and has done sports photography work for the city of Elk Grove’s newspaper The Elk Grove Citizen.

Diana Martinez, a Realtor with Keller Williams, has been selling real estate since 2007. She started her career in new home sales with JMC Homes, then switched to residential resales in 2010. She focuses on the Elk Grove and Sacramento areas.

Ed Goldman’s thrice-weekly column, The Goldman State, began five years ago and now has readers in all 50 states as well as Europe and Canada. He wrote the Working Lunch column for Comstock’s for 15 years and the Sacramentions column for Sacramento Magazine for 10 years. He also wrote a daily column for eight years for the Sacramento Business Journal, which has published three of his five books, and was a correspondent for the Los Angeles Times for 10 years.

Zahra Hamdani works at a mental health nonprofit in Sacramento and earned her MBA from California Southern University. She enjoys reading news stories and mystery novels and is also a freelance writer.

Marcus Crowder is an arts writer based in Northern California. For 17 years he was the theater critic at The Sacramento Bee where he also wrote about jazz, pop and dance. His reviews and interviews include Sting, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones, Sonny Rollins, Chita Rivera and Greta Gerwig. His work has appeared in Alta, American Theatre, Diablo Magazine, Sactown, San Francisco Chronicle and 7×7. Onstage he has interviewed Alice Waters, Frank Rich, Lara Downes and Dave Douglas. He graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in English (Writing) and has an M.F.A. in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute.
