On Feb. 11, the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce held its 127th Annual Dinner and Business Awards at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Sacramento. The black-tie affair celebrated the businesses and leaders that contribute to the vitality and economic vibrancy of our region.

SHINE with Kellie DeMarco: A Women’s Event to Connect & Inspire, was held Feb. 11 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. The event featured motivational speeches from women on topics like mindset techniques and confidence as well as DeMarco’s own story about overcoming fear and working in the public eye.

Grand Opening

The Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento celebrated its grand opening on Dec. 9 on the site of the historic Marshall Hotel at 7th and L streets. General Manager Paul Resch and Presidio Co.

Installation & Business Awards Dinner

The Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce held its 36th annual Installation & Business Awards Dinner on Dec. 9 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. The dinner featured keynote speaker and Champion of the Year Award winner Daniel Hahn, former chief of police for the City of Sacramento.

Holiday Mixer

The Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce held its annual Holiday Mixer on Dec. 16 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. Guests enjoyed a night of music, Tahoe Blue Vodka signature cocktails and the infamous ugly sweater contest. The event is open yearly to both members and non-members as a networking opportunity for Sacramento’s elite professionals.

Chamber Alliance Holiday Mixer

The Sacramento Black, Asian Pacific and Hispanic Chambers of Commerce held their Alliance Holiday Mixer on Dec. 15 at Capsity Coworking in Sacramento. The festive evening of giving, connecting and celebrating was catered by Mikuni Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar and Baked by Olga and also featured a small-business marketplace.

Buehler’s 75th Anniversary

Buehler Engineering’s 75th anniversary open house was held on Dec. 2 at one of their preeminent projects, the Golden 1 Center. Over 900 industry colleagues were in attendance to reconnect and help celebrate the strong relationships that the well-respected structural engineering firm has built over three quarters of a century.

MAME 45 Gala

In celebration of its 45th anniversary, the North State Building Industry Association held its Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Awards gala on Nov. 19 at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel in downtown Sacramento.

Luxe For Life 2021

Philanthropy Inspired by the Needs of our Community Sacramento held their annual Luxe for Life dinner and fundraiser at the California Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento on Nov. 13 to support the work of the Sacramento Children’s Home.

Annual Gala and Wayne Thiebaud’s 101st Birthday

On Nov. 13, the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art in Davis honored UC Davis Professor Emeritus Wayne Thiebaud and the Wayne Thiebaud Foundation on the eve of the artist’s 101st birthday, as well as the museum’s fifth anniversary.
