The Sacramento Valley Chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, held its annual Person of the Year celebration dinner in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church’s courtyard Sept. 5. Sotiris Kolokotronis, founder of SKK Developments, was this year’s honoree for his vision and work in building urban core projects and commercial centers.

Five Star Bank celebrated its 20th anniversary at The Sutter Club in downtown Sacramento Oct. 3. The event included wine and hors d’oeuvres.  A large donation was given to The Sutter Club Foundation by Five Star Bank, Buzz Oates and Frank Ramos.

Metro EDGE’s sixth annual Emerge Summit was held at the Crest Theater in downtown Sacramento on Sept. 19. More than 600 young professionals from across Northern California attended the daylong event, which included speeches; breakout sessions on leadership, professional development, and personal growth; and networking opportunities.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Anixter’s new Roseville facility took place on August 14. Anixter, an international technology company which brings approximately 100 jobs to the area with this location, then held an open house for attendees to tour the building. 

Access Sacramento’s seventh annual Power of Voice Award Gala Dinner was held at the Clunie Community Center in Sacramento on August 1. This year’s honoree was Beth Hassett, executive director of WEAVE, a nonprofit organization that supports survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault. 

Realtors Who Shrine hosted a VIP Night at Cal Expo preceding a Sacramento Republic Football Club match on August 7. The event celebrated Realtors Who Shrine real-estate agents who have raised $29,146 for Shriners Hospital for Children Northern California by donating a portion of their commissions in their clients’ names.

Airco Mechanical celebrated its 45th anniversary on July 11, at its headquarters in Depot Park in south Sacramento. More than 300 leaders in the Capital Region construction industry attended the event.

Comstock’s magazine celebrated its 30th anniversary at Downtown & Vine in downtown Sacramento on July 17. The event included wine, hors d’oeuvres and a raffle for guests.

Sacramento Self-Help Housing hosted its 17th annual Let Them Eat Cake fundraising event at Beatnik Studios in downtown Sacramento on July 11. Community members and partners raised $90,000 for the nonprofit organization, which works to eliminate homelessness in the region. 

The Foundation for UCP of Sacramento and Northern California honored Kevin Nagle, chairman and CEO of Sacramento Republic Football Club, as its Humanitarian of the Year at its annual fundraiser May 19 at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento.
