
Hamilton Room Community Preview
On Friday, March 16, Federalist Public House owners Marvin and Bridgette Maldonado offered a community preview of the newest addition to their portfolio, The Hamilton Room, located at 2009 N Street in Midtown Sacramento. The Hamilton Room’s bar can be booked for private events, dinners, community meetings, lunches and fundraisers.

1849 Foundation 2nd Annual Charity Police Ball
The Sacramento Police Officers Association 1849 Foundation held its 2nd Annual Charity Police Ball on Feb. 10 at the new Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Downtown Sacramento. The evening brought police and community together to raise funds for crisis relief, community scholarships, neighborhood team athletics and construction of a future Sacramento police museum.

Metro Edge Emerge Summit
Metro Edge held the Emerge Summit on March 1 at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento. The event featured keynote addresses from Bernadette Austin, associate director, UC Davis; John Bissell, CEO, Origin Materials; and Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs.

Comstock’s Client Appreciation
Comstock’s magazine held its quarterly client appreciation night on Feb 24 at The Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for the Arts. Clients were treated to a pre-show dinner and reception and the evening ended with complimentary tickets for all attendees to see “One Man, Two Guvnors.”

RememberAVet.net Evening At Park Winters
RememberAVet.net held its annual Evening at Park Winters on March 3 in Winters, California. The event raised funds for the nonprofit’s annual Wreath Laying Project at the Sacramento National Cemetery. Remember A Vet is committed to laying wreaths on all fallen soldier grave sites at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery each December.

High Powered Women Mixer
The High Powered Women Mixer was held on March 1 at the Girl Scouts Headquarters on Elvas Ave in Sacramento. The mixer was designed for business women to connect and network. Roughly 120 attendees were present.

123rd Annual Dinner and Business Awards
The Sacramento Metro Chamber held it’s 123rd annual Dinner and Business Awards on Jan. 27 at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Sacramento. The celebration included distinguished honors and awards for those in the community making an impact.

2018 Arts Awards Gala

On Jan. 17 the Arts and Business Council of the Sacramento Region, Blue Line Arts and Sacramento State held the 2018 Arts Awards Gala at Harper Alumni Center in Sacramento. The evening honored those who make an impact on arts and culture in our region. Comstock’s was awarded the 2018 Arts Journalism Award.

20th Annual State of Downtown Address

On Jan. 23 Downtown Sacramento Partnership held it’s 20th Annual State of Downtown Address at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento. Downtown Sacramento Partnership, executive director Michael Ault, Mayor Darrell Steinberg, and keynote speaker Tom Murphy reviewed downtown progress and inspired new revitalization initiatives for the year ahead.

Capital Region Family Business Center
Generations Conference
The Capital Region Family Business Center held its second annual Generations Conference at the Sacramento Convention Center on Jan. 29-30. The two-day event was attended by over 300 attendees and 57 family businesses.
